We started a New Choreography last Tuesday in the Broadway Open Class on the famous song Anything Goes written by Cole Porter for the Broadway show Anything Goes in 1934.
Since 34 the song has been recorded by various artists (Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Ethel Merman, but also Kate Capshow for the opening scene of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom).
For the class choreography I've chosen the Caroline O'Connor version from the original soundtrack of the musical movie De-Lovely, which is a biography of Cole Porter's life.
The choreographies for Broadway and London shows are originaly tap with a Busby Berkeley armosphere to it. For the class choreography I've used moves from the 1988 Broadway revival as well as basic Berkeley formations.
If you want to give it a try, the Broadway Open class is on Tuesday at 5.30pm.
